Terms & Conditions
We always aim to supply the exact part required by our customer. Due to the variations in make, model, design, colour and years of all cars, vans and jeeps manufactured, we cannot give complete guarantee that a part will be a match for your particular vehicle. To accurately match parts, we would ask our customers to provide as much information as possible about both vehicle and part. Where possible, it is also beneficial to provide a sample part, part number or image that will help us to accurately match parts.
Parts sold from Connaught 4X4 Spares are second hand and are sold as such. Consumers cannot expect second-hand goods to be of the same standard as new products. This is reflected in our prices in comparison to brand new items. Upon purchasing a used part, the customer will always be made aware of any imperfections that may affect their decision to purchase this part.
Buying a second-hand item gives a similar set of rights as when buying a new item under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980. In accordance with the Act, if the item turns out to be faulty, the consumer will receive a replacement or a refund.
In accordance with the Act, if dissatisfied with the quality of our goods, customers are asked to
- Return the goods.
- Act as soon as they can.
- Refrain from attempts to repair the item themselves or give it to anyone else to repair it
- Retain proof of purchase (a receipt, credit card statement or invoice)
In the case that an item is not faulty, items returned will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
In accordance with the Sale of Goods Act, customers have no grounds for redress if:
- They were told about an imperfection or defect before buying the item.
- They examined the item before buying it and should reasonably have seen the defect.
- They bought the item knowing that it wasn’t fit for what they wanted it to do
- They broke or damaged the product.
- They changed their mind.
- They made a mistake when buying the item (for example, if they bought wrong colour of door).
All Faulty parts must be returned within 7 working days for exchange or refund.
All parts returned will carry a €30 handling charge and must be returned within 5 working days.
Unless faulty, ECUs and electrical items such as airbag modules, fuse boards, batteries, dash clocks and electrical sensors etc. are generally non-refundable as a result of potential damage caused by in-correct fitting or other faults in customer vehicles. Customers purchasing such parts are advised of this policy.
